Unión de Cervecerías Peruanas Backus y Johnston S.A.A., is the leading company in the beer industry in Peru. It has 5 beer production plants located in Lima, Arequipa, Cusco, Motupe and Pucallpa; as well as a Malting and a mineral water plant. It has a portfolio of 18 national and international brands.
Project Goals
Creation of characters, illustrations, and digital elements for the corporate commercial video for high-end sales channels. The development was carried out in strict accordance with the script guidelines and in compliance with the technical and creative specifications specified by the client.
The High End is the global commercial division of Backus AB InBev and is in charge of the sale and strategy of the premium brands of Backus Peru, having as main products Corona, Budweiser and Stella Artois.
The aesthetic was defined as clean and accessible, aimed at generating an immediate connection with the viewer. Vibrant colors were used to complement the brand's identity without creating visual saturation, and a flat vector style was applied with shadows to add depth. The main character was designed with the Peruvian target in mind, incorporating visual attributes that make it relatable and representative of the typical consumer profile.
I focused on every detail to achieve an environment that felt real and immersive. I applied a consistent color palette (previously aligned and validated) and textures that maintained visual coherence, ensuring everything fit within a single, well-defined style.
In the final stage, multiple elements had to be developed with distinct approaches to ensure their proper integration into the animation. Angles, positions, and proportions were carefully considered, optimizing each component for its behavior in motion.
